Our Phlebotomy Program at a Glance
The Phlebotomy program provides the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training to become a certified phlebotomist. Youâll master blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as prepare blood smears, conduct urinalysis, and maintain specimen integrity. Additionally, you'll learn accurate labeling and documentation, ensuring you're ready to handle laboratory procedures in healthcare settings.

Program Duration
6-week Monday through Friday schedule or 12-week Saturday-only schedule.
Tuition Includes
Classroom instruction, notepad & pencil, uniform, guidebooks, lab supplies, and the HIV 4-hour certification. The Phlebotomist certification exam must be purchased separately for $129, and it can be taken at our facility.
Mornings
Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Afternoons
Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Evenings
Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Saturdays
Every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Education
A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent will be needed.
Age
All Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Prerequisites
Valid Photo ID, social security number, and deposit at the moment of enrollment.

Scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 7 days prior to the desired start date. Awarded scholarships will be held for a maximum period of 1 year post-award. Applicants' essays will be evaluated by a scholarship committee based on the following criteria: originality, composition, clarity, and relevance to the topic. Essays judged to be outstanding will be awarded scholarships. Recipients will be notified via email prior to the start of their program, provided eligibility requirements are met. The scholarship amount is non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for its cash value. It is not valid toward the initial down payment or registration fees and only applies to the Medical Assistant program at Florida Health Care Academy.
