Become a Certified Phlebotomist in 6 Weeks
Our accelerated timeline takes you from classroom to clinic fast. You will master venipuncture, capillary draws, specimen handling, and patient care, building toward the 30+ live blood draws and specimen collection techniques that make you job-ready, in structured, hands-on lab sessions, all inside one hybrid program that launches your career as a phlebotomy technician.
How the Hybrid Program Works
Our Phlebotomy program is hybrid: the flexibility of learning online plus the hands-on training of in-person labs. You join live Zoom classes, train in person at our Orlando campus, and work through self-paced coursework on your own time. A typical week blends about 2 days of live online classes, 2 days of in-person training, and 1 self-paced day, though schedules may vary. Choose the 6-week weekday or the 12-week Saturday track. On the Saturday track, the same split applies with alternating Saturdays: one Saturday you join class live on Zoom, the next you train in person on campus.
Live Online (Zoom)
Join certified instructors in real time from home for lectures and guided learning, typically a couple of days each week, always at your same class schedule time.
Hands-On In Person
Practice the hands-on skills employers test for - venipuncture, capillary draws, specimen labeling, and patient care - in person on campus in Orlando, completing 30+ live blood draws and specimen collection techniques on real people before you graduate.
Self-Paced Online
Work through online coursework on your own schedule, generally about one day a week, so the program flexes around your life.
Schedules stay flexible and may change. The day-split above is typical, not guaranteed.
What You'll Learn as a Phlebotomist
You'll gain the exact skills employers test for: venipuncture, capillary draws, specimen handling and labeling, and compassionate patient care. Built around real-world scenarios, the curriculum mirrors the complete phlebotomist job description: what phlebotomists do every day in hospitals, labs, clinics, and blood-donation centers.
Patient Care
Put patients at ease, verify identity, and guide them through the draw with confidence and care.
Venipuncture & Draws
Perform venipuncture and capillary draws, select the right site and equipment, and collect quality specimens.
Sample Handling
Label, process, and transport specimens for tests like blood typing, occult blood, and urinalysis, following proper protocols.
Class Schedules
Choose the schedule that fits your life. Your hybrid week runs live within these time blocks - both the online Zoom sessions and the in-person hands-on training happen during your chosen schedule, so you attend live, on campus or on Zoom. Availability varies by track.
