What Is a Clinical Medical Assistant?

A clinical medical assistant provide support to medical professionals by overseeing administrative operations. They may aide in medical procedures, as directed by their supervisor.

What Does the Clinical Medical Assistant Course Offer?

During your education and training, you will learn the clinical skills needed to work alongside healthcare professionals. For example, you will learn how to:

* Measure a patient’s height accurately

* Take weight

* Record vital signs

* Discuss and record medical history

* Prepare examination rooms

* Organize and disinfect medical instruments

Skills include:

* Phlebotomy

* Injections

* Administering medications

* Using an electrocardiograph

Labs are included to offer students hands-on experience. Many students volunteer at area medical facilities for added experience to include on their resume.

Who Can Take the Course?

All students must be at least 17 years old. For those who are under 18 years old, they will need their Enrollment Agreement signed by a Parent/Guardian.

When Is the Course?

The course is offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

How Much Does It Cost to Be a Clinical Medical Assistant?

The Clinical Medical Assistant course costs $2,995. This covers classroom time, and all supplies:

* Books

* Notepad

* Pencil

* Uniform

* HIV 4 hour certification

* Lab supplies
